15th August: 2.40 Pontefract – Blissful Moment - lost The yard are slowly showing signs of returning to for after a bit of a baron spell for one of the most influential training centre in the country, but because of that we may get a fair price on this unexposed handicapper today. Lightly raced, Blissful Moment race two encouraging races before winning at Windsor last time where the first two pulled well clear of the rest of the field. The 2nd that day has won since, and our information indicates that Blissful Moment has improved significantly since that run. She’s highly though of and getting weight from her elders is expected to win today at Pontefract. 17th August: 3.25 York - Rip Van Winkle (MAX BET) - 15/8 generally available - WON 7/4 We are confident Rip Van Winkle will win the Juddmonte today. Top class last year chasing home Sea The Stars on his only attempt at this trip in the Ecplise with multiple Grp 1 winner Conduit 4 lengths back, he then won the Group 1 Sussex Stakes and QE2 over a mile. It was well documented he'd need his comback run in the Queen Anne, but he showed his old sparkle when 2nd in this years Sussex Stakes behind the classy Canford Cliffs. Sure to have improved again for that outing we feel the trip is perfect and Rip Van Winkle will simply be too good for today's opponents.

7th August 2010 2.20 Haydock – Smokey Oakey (e/w) - 10/1 Generally - lost Smokey Oakey has conditions to suit for him to return to the winner’s enclosure here at a decent price. Best in a big field with plenty of cut in the ground he looks really well handicapped now having been given a chance by the handicapper. Running off a mark lower than when he won the Lincoln a couple of years ago and when 4th this year, with another 3lbs claimed by his jockey he is weighted to run very well. A decent run last time shows him to be in good form, we expect him to run very well. 2.35 Newmarket – Khor Sheed – 3rd Khor Sheed looked like a really good performer last time winning a listed race rather than picking up an easier maiden elsewhere. That clearly indicates the stable think she’s a very decent filly and she showed that last time when winning with a fair amount to spare. The stables 2yo’s would be expected to improve with racing and she looks to be the best filly on current form already. 2.50 Haydock – Poet (e/w) – 14/1 Generally – WON 7/1 Poet looks like he’s slowly coming into form and with a little improvement from his last run he’ll be in the shake up in this race where the soft ground could be against a number of these if it gets very soft. A strong word from the yard indicates he’s in much better form now following a change of stable’s so the improvement in form is very much expected. He looks over priced at 14/1. 12th August 3.40 Salisbury – Calatrava Cape – 2nd Calatrava Cape found one too good last time where she was beaten in what turned out to be a bit of a sprint finish after a slow pace, which wouldn’t have suited. This bigger field should ensure a stronger run race and we really this is a progressive horse is capable of contesting better events than this in the future, a massive run is expected. 4.15 Salisbury – Hearts of Fire – 5th Hearts of Fire deserves to win a race this year having run really well at top level on his last two outings, one being a blinding run when 3rd in the St James Palace Stakes when slightly unlucky in running. The weight allowance gives the 3yo’s a big chance in this race and we fell Hearts of Fire is the best 3yo in the field. 14th August 2010 2.30 Newbury – Kite Wood – 7/2 William Hill - lost A winner of this race last year, Kite Wood looks to have an excellent chance of repeating that success especially now some rain has come to soften the ground. He won this race in fine style last year before a very good 2nd in the St Leger. Twice raced this season he won on his reappearance in a Group 2 in France before being well beaten in the Ascot Gold Cup. This race and trip will be far more suitable and with the likelihood of Frankie getting a lead he’ll be very very hard to beat. We advise you take the 7/2 with William Hill. 3.05 Newbury – Himalya (e/w) 13/2 with William Hill – 4th Another one who’ll benefit from the ground where it is a negative for many of the runners, a number of the leading contenders need to show a return to form following a disappointing latest run. In contrast Himalya has been a model of consistency running well in each of his outings this season under welter weights in some of the most competitive handicaps all season. He’s not got much to find on official ratings and we feel he has a big chance today. First time cheek pieces may eek out a little improvement as well. 3.20 Newmarket – Dafeef (e/w) – WON 8/1 The market leaders in this race have much to prove having won lesser events off lower handicap marks following some steep rises in the handicap and we feel they are vulnerable to Dafeef who is a very classy type. He’s run well in some decent event this season and the drop back to six furlongs could be just the trick. A slightly temperamental sort who didn’t seem to put it al in last time, this bigger field will help his jockey get plenty of cover and with a sharp initial turn of foot he can be delivered late. Because he’s shown a temperamental side he looks to be over priced in a big way

31st July 2010 3.20 Newmarket – Chain of Events (e/w) 2nd 10/1 Chain of Events looks to have been underestimated for this race by the bookmakers, being available at 16/1 in a race where we feel he has a really strong chance. A fair 4th in a better race last time where the race wasn’t to suit, following a relatively easy win the time before. He’d previously been highly tried, handles cut in the ground, still lightly raced and open to improvement we feel he is massive value. 3.40 Goodwood – Kaldoun Kingdom (e/w) Top 5 places with many bookmakers. - lost Kaldoun Kingdom progressed into a top class handicap sprinter last year winning his final two races in fine style. Another victory first time out this season he’s improved again and ran an excellent trial for today when 2nd to the equally progressive Hawkeyethenoo last time. The is plenty of pace drawn low today and at about 20/1 with many of the smaller bookmakers paying top 5 places this progressive and very consistent runner has a great chance. The morning rain will not inconvenience him as it may well do a number of the runners today.

24th July 2010 2.40 Ascot - Margot Did – 2nd An impressive winner of her first two outings Margot Did ran an excellent race when 2nd at Royal Ascot to Memory. The winner has gone on to prove that form to be very solid and is currently favourite for next years 1000 Guineas. Margot Did has the beating of the 2nd favorite through a form line with Memory and we expect her to prove too good for her opposition and land a much deserved group race. 3.50 Ascot - Crown Choice (e/w) - 14/1 best price VC Bet, Paddy Power, Corals. - lost Crown Choice has been an improved performer this year, winning a decent handicap before running an excellent race last time in the Bunbury Cup where we feel he had too much use made of him 2 furlongs out having been given a lot to do. He is a hold up horse but if kept a little bit closer to the pace we think he'll be in with a huge chance. Take the 14/1 as we feel he'll be well supported. 4.25 Ascot - Workforce - 11/10 best price Corals, William Hill - lost Workforce did the business for us in the Derby when he looked a class act winning by a wide margain and breaking the course record. A repeat of that performance and we can't see anything getting near him. We hope he goes on from the King George to Arc glory in October and proves himself the best of his generation. Take the 11/10 as we expect him to be sent off a shade of odds on. 27th July 2010 2.10 Goodwood - Roman Republic (e/w) - lost Course form in these big handicaps is invaluable and Roman Republic has proven form here having won on his last start in the UK. Racing off just 5lbs more he has been given a fair chance by the handicapper. An excellent race first time in Meydan, last time can be forgotten as he didn't get the run of the race. Best when fresh we are surprised Frankie hasn't chosen to ride him as we expect Roman Republic to run a very big race. 2.45 Goodwood - Arctic Cosmos (e/w) – 3rd Arctic Cosmos is progressing really well and looks set to take his first group race. An impressive winner of a handicap at Kempton he then ran an excellent race when 2nd at Royal Ascot behind the subsequent Irish Derby 3rd. Still potentially improving he already has the best form in the race and in a competitive race looks a very solid each way bet. 28th July 2010 2.10 Goodwood - London Stripe (e/w) - best price 5/1 Ladbrokes - lost London Stripe has run well in each of his starts this year, winning at Newmarket over this trip, before an excellent run at Royal Ascot when 2nd from a bad draw behind the very progressive Dandino. Dandino almost won the Group 3 Gordon Stakes here on Tuesday so the form is rock solid. We very much doubt London Stripe will meet anything of his class today and fully expect a return to the winners enclosure for the Stoute horse. 29th July 2010 2.45 Goodwood – Victoire De Lyphar (e/w) – 8/1 with William Hill – 2nd Victoire De Lyphar landed a right touch for us last time at York when winning in impressive style at 9/1 having been backed from an early morning price of 14/1. He’s been raised 7lbs for that run but won so well we’d expect him to defy that rise in the weights. Still only a 3yo and having only run 8 times he’s open to plenty of more improvement. Adrian Nicholls couldn’t have been more complimentary about the horse after his last win and being trained by the sprint king in Dandy Nicholls we think Victoire De Lyphar can land the spoils again before proving himself a group race performer in time to come. 3.25 Goodwood – Spectait (e/w) – 50/1 with Betfred, Blue Sq, Stan James - lost Spectait is a huge price and looks to have been laid out for this race having placed 2nd last year of a 2lb lower mark. He’s not shown much form since but did show a sign of an imminent return to form last time when staying on quite nicely. Trained and owned by some very shrewd operators Spectait could well develop into a massive gamble. The only negative is a poor draw but his style of running may negate that. Make sure you take the best early price. 5.15 Goodwood – Jacqueline Quest - lost Jacqueline Quest is the best horse in this race having been demoted from winning the English Guineas and then running an excellent race when 3rd in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. A big drop in class for this race Jacqueline Quest looks to have an outstanding chance and we have some very positive vibes from the stable. Not yet priced up we advise you take any early price above even money, as we’d expect she’ll be available at about 11/8 judging by the current exchange prices. She should win and win well.

16th July 2010 7.35 Pontefract – Ishetoo (e/w) - lost Ishetoo looks to be very well handicapped at present and this looks an idea opportunity to get back in the winners enclosure. A fast finishing 4th last time the form of that race has been franked and we strongly fancy Ishetoo to give weight away to some inferior opponents this evening. 7.45 Hamilton – Hawkeyethenoo – lost (won next time) Back into handicap company Hawkeyethenoo looks to have an outstanding chance of landing this valuable prize. A major eye catcher when a fast finishing 2nd at Epsom prior to a very good run in Ireland last time where he was beaten by a couple of better drawn horses. He’s been very progressive this year looks sure to continue that way. 7.55 Newmarket – Sandskier – 3rd Sandskier ran a really good race at Newmarket last time when 4th in an ultra competitive handicap at last weeks July Festival. This is very much an easier race where a few still need to prove themselves. The Mark Johnston yard are in excellent form and we expect Sandskier to be rewarded with a victory. 17th July 2010 2.15 Newbury – High Standing – 2nd High Standing won this race last year in really good style before an excellent 3rd in the Group 1 Haydock Sprint. A comfortable winner of an inadequate 5 furlongs first time this year he failed to land a blow at Royal Ascot last time. We expect him to bounce back to form today before again taking on the big boys at the highest level later in the season. 3.00 Newmarket – Parvaaz – lost (won next time) Parvaaz look potentially well treated off a mark of just 78. A good third in a decent maiden on his only run as a 2yo, Parvaaz really caught the eye winning his maiden at Warwick last month. That may not have been the strongest maiden that day but he travelled very strongly and took the eye as a decent animal, off bottom weight he looks to have a very solid chance against some more exposed opponents. 4.30 Newbury – Oasis Dancer – WON 4/1 Oasis Dancer had shown progressive form before being pitched into the deep end in the Irish Guineas last time. 5th first time out behind today’s favourite, he showed improved form when winning at Newmarket next time where the form has franked. He actually ran very well from the front in the Irish Guineas only falling away in the final 1 ½ furlongs. This is a much more realistic race and we give him a big chance.

21st July 2010 A busy Wednesday covering four meetings. The two Nurseries are interesting. Azzurra Du Caprio (Catterick 3:10) looks to be on a fair markin what looks a weaker race than the once he chased home Majestic Myles in; she should improve for the step up in trip but wil need to to overhaul Hortensis. The handicapper would no doubt raise Krypton Factor [WON 9/2] a few pounds if he had the chance and that one must go close tomorrow (Sandown 6:35) but Swiss Dream [2nd 5/4] will be a tough opponent if back to her best. Catterick 2:10 Talley Close 69 WON 9/4 Baby Driver 60 unpl 14/1 Catterick 2:40 (s) Lord Of The Storm 75 WON 3/1 Kodibelle 70 2nd 12/1 CSF: £35.27 Catterick 3:10 (N) Hortensis 73 3rd 15/2 Azzurra Du Caprio 68 unpl 11/4 Mica Mika 68 WON 7/2 Leicester 6:15 Sky Falcon 73 WON 9/1 Danzig's Lovechild 72 unpl 14/1 Nothing To Hide 72 2nd 9/2 CSF:£44.22 Sandown 6:35 (N) Krypton Factor 76 WON 9/2 Swiss Dream 75 2nd 5/4 CSF: £10.47 Sandown 7:10 Baransky 67 3rd 13/8 Lingfield 2:00 (AW) N/q Lingfield 2:30 Mystica 60 unpl 16/1 Rutterkin 58 WON 3/1 Wow! Punting doesn't get much better than yesterday. Seven races assessed, four top-rated winners at 9/4, 3/1, 9/1 & 9/2, two second or joint second rated at 7/2 and 3/1, three seconds and two thirds - including three straight forecasts.

2nd July 4.35 Sandown – Verdant - WON 5/6 < 6/4Hopefully for us it’s 3rd time lucky for Verdant who has been strongly fancied both times he’s run since winning here back in April but on both occasions has not had the run of the race. In a slightly smaller field today we’re hopeful of no traffic problems and if that’s the case this progressive colt can get back to winning ways. The 3yo weight allowance puts him on bottom weight and he should prove too good for these exposed handicappers. 3rd July 2010 2.00 Sandown – Group Therapy (3/1 Ladbrokes) – 2nd Group Therapy looked like a decent class handicapper, that was until his debut for his new yard this season where he blitzed a fair field in a conditions race at Beverley. This is a step up in class but Group Therapy looked a good deal better than his current rating that day and if that improved form is repeated today then he’ll be very hard to beat before possibly stepping up in class again later in the season. 2.50 Haydock – Rosika (e/w) (10/1 Corals)- lost Rosika looks like she could be another of those Sir Michael Stoute older horse improvers. She ran some really good races last year improving throughout the year. Her reappearance was very promising on ground that would have been softer than she’d encountered before. Back on decent ground and sure to have improved for the run Rosika looks to have a really strong chance at a decent price. 5.25 Sandown – Revered (5/1 with Corals)- 2nd Revered looked a potentially nice filly from just two starts last season, but has taken a long time to come to hand this year. Very much in need of her seasonal debut when behind today’s favourite, Revered has reportedly made giant strides since that run and is fancied to reverse the form with Beachfire who is a little quirky. Her mark of 83 is considered to be lenient. 7th July 2010 1.30 Newmarket – Miss Zooter (e/w) – lost (won next time) Miss Zooter won really well at Newbury and then ran a very good race in an ultra competitive handicap at Royal Ascot. This is a much easier race and with the step back to 7f Miss Zooter looks to have an excellent chance at a generous price. 3.10 Newmarket – Lillie Langtry – 5th Lillie Langtry did a job for us at Royal Ascot and we see no reason why she shouldn't follow up. The older fillies weren’t quite up to Group 1 standard as 3yo’s and Special Duty hasn’t actually won a race this year so the race may not be quite as high a standard as it initially looked. Lille Langtry may well show further improvement in line with many of the stables runners and she is a confident selection. 4.20 Newmarket – Nationalism – 2nd Nationalism ran an excellent race on his debut only just getting beaten on the line. Reportedly he’s made giant strides since that race and has been working very well with pattern runners from the stable. If he translates that to the track he’ll prove hard to beat 9th July 2010 3.10 Newmarket - Kingsgate Native (e/w) – 4th We're happy to forgive a poor run at Ascot last time and we have had very positive message that he's expected to return to top form today. His victory earlier in the season at Haydock puts him in with an excellent chance. The step up to 6f on fast ground will suit him and at about 14/1 Kingsgate Native rates a good each way bet. 10th July 2010 3.05 York – Imposing – 6th Imposing looked an unlucky loser at Royal Ascot where Ryan Moore gave a bit too much to do in coming from a long way back. Lightly raced and still improving we are confident Imposing can land today’s prize given a slightly better ride. He was a major gamble that day and we expect plenty of support again so take the 5/1.
